How To Establish Good Relations with Your Mother in Law

My Wife (left) with My Mother

All my neighbours are always jealous with the relationship that my wife and my mother had. They thought that I was the one who became my mother son in law, because my wife is like my moms own daughter.

Just like oil and water, so are your relationship with your mother in law. There are many ways to establish harmonious relationship, if you want to be prudent. Relationships with in laws are not easy, especially if you have different pattern of life and perspectives.

As our own parents, son and daughter in law are considered to have less life experience. Lifestyle differences may also be due to generational differences. Do not think that your lifestyles are the most correct. Try to observe your mother in law lifestyles! You may find many positive things that you can learn from.

Establishing good relationship with in laws are not as difficult as we might think. Try the following tips :

Do not compete with your mother in law.
However, your mother in law is your husbands mother. You and your mother in law are having different roles and positions. Respect your mother in law as if she is your own mother.

Make your mother in law as a model.
As the last person comes into your husbands family, you have much to learn how to interact with your husbands family. Marriage is not only to unite you with your husband, but also to unite your family with husbands family. You can learn from your mother in law, how to adapt with other husbands family members.

Try to live apart.
Having your own home after marriage is every young couples dream. By living together with your husband, you will learn how to become a wife. Minor conflict with your mother in law can be avoided, and vice versa conflict between husband with your mother.

Note your mother in laws favorite food.
Whether you cook for yourself, or buy her favorite foods, it will give a positive effect on your relationship. She will regard your attention to her. This action will directly touch of her feelings. Especially if the food is made on your own. Although the taste is awful, but it will not be a problem. It has shown an attention.

Do not tell bad conduct about your husband.
Your husband is her biological son. There is no mother would able to receive bad note about her son. If you are in trouble with your husband, and wanted to tell her. State the issues by using words as smooth as possible. Despite it all, you and your husband alone that should be completed your problems without any intervention from others.

Do not expect your mother in law to change.
She is not your biological parents. You cannot force her to conform with you. If your mother in law is a widow, come to live with you in your own house, you are the one that supposed to adjust. You should take care and pay attention to her needs. As if you treat your own mother.

Your marriage with your husband has united two families. Good relations must be maintained. Even if you did not managed to establish good relations with your mother in law, teach your children to honor and cherish your in laws.

You should not to discriminate the love between your mother and your mother in law. Children should learn to respect and love the elders, your in laws, although they do not get the love in return. That is to proof our devotion to our parents.

You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving

Doctors use eggs to reverse egg allergies in kids

First peanuts, now eggs. Doctors have reversed allergies in some children and teens by giving them tiny daily doses of problem foods, gradually training their immune systems to accept them.

In the best test of this yet, about a dozen kids were able to overcome allergies to eggs, one of the most ubiquitous foods, lurking in everything from pasta and veggie burgers to mayonnaise and even marshmallows. Some of the same doctors used a similar approach on several kids with peanut allergies a few years ago.

Dont try this yourself, though. It takes special products, a year or more and close supervision because severe reactions remain a risk, say doctors involved in the study, published in Thursdays New England Journal of Medicine.

"This experimental therapy can safely be done only by properly trained physicians," says a statement from Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the federal agency that sponsored the study.

It didnt work for everyone, and some dropped out of the study because of allergic reactions. But the results "really do show there is promise for future treatment" and should be tested now in a wider group of kids, said the studys leader, Dr. A. Wesley Burks, pediatrics chief at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

More than 2 percent of young children have egg allergies, suffering wheezing and tight throats or even life-threatening reactions if they eat any egg, Burks said. Many will outgrow

this by age 4 or 5, and more will by the time they are teens, but 10 to 20 percent never do. The big worry is that these kids will eat eggs as an ingredient in a food they dont realize contains them, and have a severe reaction. Training a childs immune system to tolerate even small amounts of egg to prevent this was the goal of the study.

It enrolled 55 children ages 5 to 18. Forty were given tiny daily amounts of powdered egg white, the part that usually causes the allergy. The other 15 were given cornstarch - a dummy treatment - for comparison. The amounts were increased every two weeks until kids in the treatment group were eating about one third of an egg each day.

They periodically went to their doctors to try eating eggs. They failed the test if a doctor could see any symptoms such as wheezing.

At about a year, none receiving the dummy treatment passed the egg challenge. Those on the egg white powder fared better.

"At the end of the year, half of them passed. At the end of two years, 75 percent of them passed," Burks said.

Next, he went a step further, to see if participants could maintain tolerance without the daily powder. Those who passed the second test stopped using the powder, avoided eggs entirely for four to six weeks, then tried eating eggs again as they wished. Eleven of the 30 kids were able to do this with no problem.

The treatment worked for 10-year-old Nicholas Redmond of Huntersville, N.C., near Charlotte. Avoiding eggs has been "a huge problem," said his father, Chris Redmond. Now Nicholas has some egg nearly every day to maintain his tolerance, which his father finds terribly ironic.

"You spend 2 1/2 years avoiding eggs" and now have to make sure he gets some, Chris Redmond said.

Nicholas said the hardest part of his allergy was turning down birthday treats at school.

"I would say no thank you and I had this little treat box with stuff filled for class parties," he said.

Now, "I can have eggs in cake and cookies" - if they dont contain peanuts, he said. Hes also allergic to those, and will start sensitization therapy for peanuts next month.

Yeast Hydrolysate Powered Fat Loss 7 Reduction in Total Body Fat and 14 Reduction in Abdominal Fat W out Diet

Will the fat-burning magic of 1g/day of yeast hydrolysate dissolve the fat thats still covering the last 2 packs?
It sounds like a marketing scam and I must warn you, one of the authors of a soon-to-be-published paper on the basis of which I came up with this headline is actually with a company that specializes in food additives.

This obviously warrants a heightened degree of suspicion, but it does not mean that the study results could or even must be doctored. I would thus suggest, we take a look at what the Korean scientists from Jeonju University, the University of Seoul, the Korea University and the Neo Cremar Company Ltd. actually did and found before we jump to any premature conclusions about the validity or non-validity of the data.

What exactly is yeast hydrolysate?

I guess, the first thing we have to address is what exactly it was Jung et al. administered to their 24 male and 30 female participants  with body mass indices (BMI) of at least 25 kg/m² (the obesity cut off in the Asia-Pacific region is 25 kg/m²). To this end, its best to look at how this "supplement" was produced (if you want the short version fast forward to the first red box ;-)
  1. Youve read about the anti-Crohns effects of saccharomyces cerv. (bakers yeast) in the SuppVersity Facebook News, recently

    Saccharomyces cerevisiae (IFO 2346) is incubated in a growth medium containing 2% molasses, 0.6% (NH4)2SO4, 0.1% MgSO4$7H2O, 0.2% KH2PO4, 0.03% K2HPO4,  for 3 days at 30°C.
  2. After incubation, the culture is centrifuged at 10,000g for 20 minutes.
  3. Immediately after the cells are removed from the centrifuge, they are suspended in 20 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7.0) and hydrolyzed with 1000 units of bromelain at 30 C for 4 h.
The result of this third step actually is already a, but not yet the hydrolysate. To achieve the "good stuff", it is then centrifuged at 10,000g for 20 min. The small molecules which are then removed from the supernatant are then passed through a 10 kDa molecular-weight cutoff membrane and eventually lyophilized - et voilà!

"Hold on! So what do I need?" Before you hit the "too complicated button" at the bottom of this page, let me briefly point out that you dont need to understand or memorize the production process. The thing you have to look for, when you are shopping for corresponding products is a yeast hydrolysate with a maximal molecular weight (thats ~ the size of the indiv. peptides) of <10kDa that was produced from Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

In the study at hand, the of this 3+1 step process was packed into 500 mg pouches before it was handed over to the subjects in the active arm of the study (the placebo contained dextrin).

Figure 1: Inter-group baseline differences for weight + body composition for men and women (Young. 2014
)
Both the placebo and yeast supplements had to be taken twice a day 30 min before breakfast and dinner. So far that all sounds like standard procedure. If you take a look at the outcome of the randomization process, you will yet see that there are non-negligible inter-group differences in body composition (see Figure 1): In conjunction with the high fat mass, the low body weight and lean mass of the ladies in the control group, could have significant effects on the change in body weight. Unfortunately, the scientists did not test the significance of this difference, but a 39% gap in lean body mass that comes hand in hand with a 13% higher fat mass can be expected to have a very relevant effect on the outcome of any dietary intervention.

Speaking of dietary interventions! there was no dietary intervention.

I know, it sounds hilarious, but there was no dietary intervention. All the participants had to do was to consume the 1g of yeast hydrolysate or the 1g of dextrin in 2x500mg servings 30 min before breakfast and dinner. Thats at least what they were advised to do.

Figure 2: Changes in energy intake (% baseline) and body composition (Young. 2014)

The data in Figure 2 does yet tell you that what they actually did (voluntarily, though) was "dieting". This is particularly true for the female study participants, who reached caloric deficits of 26% by week 6-8 and 28% by week 8-10. Against that background its not that surprising that the statistical significant changes in body comp were only observed in the female study participants.

There are no effects on resting metabolic rate! The notion that the reduced energy intake is the main, if not the only driving force of the fat loss Jung et al. observed in the study at hand is supported by observations the researchers made in a previous study from 2011 (Jung. 2011a). In the said study, the 20 obese females (body fat >28%) in the yeast group did experience a non-significantly improved fat loss compared to the control group. They did yet also suffer from a "higher" reduction in resting metabolic race (-9.69kcal/day vs. -4.35kcal/day) - similarly non-significant as the weight loss difference, obviously.

This does not mean that the yeast extract doesnt work - quite the contrary, for the average individual who is neither willing nor able to adhere to a caloric deficit without the help of tools like this, it could actually come very handy. For the average physical culturist, it would yet obviously be more interesting if yeast hydrolysates had spot reducing qualities (learn more about spot reduction). And if we take another look at the full text of the study, we could actually argue that this is basically what the authors suggest, when they refer to the results of previous studies and state:
"Yeast hydrolysate increases the reduction of body fat in obese individuals compared with placebo, which supports the hypothesized abdominal fat-lowering effects of yeast hydrolysate" (Young. 2014)
If you look at the study at hand, the question we would have to answer should thus read: Are the abdominal and total fat mass disproportionate. Or to say it differently: Did the subjects lose signifcantly more abdominal than total fat? And in view of the previously discussed problem: Did this vary between male and female participants? Unfortunately, the scientists didnt do us (or rather me) the favor of doing this for us, already. Therefore I had to do the calculations and plotting for Figure 3 myself:

Figure 3: Relative change in body fat mass and abdominal fat thickness (Jung. 2014)

As the text in the box in Figure 3 already tells you, the existing discrepancy between the reduction in total body fat and abdominal fat thickness does not necessarily "prove" the spot reducing prowess of yeast hydrolysate. We do after all know that in the chubbier folks the unhealthy fat in / on the midsection is usually the first to go.

Is the fat loss really localized?

Furthermore, a previous study by the same researchers clearly refutes the abdominal specific fat loss effects. The corresponding paper was published in 2011 in the Journal of Food and Biochemistry (Jung. 2011a; same paper I referenced in the box above), and despite the fact that the researchers observed a trend for an increase in weight loss within only 4 weeks on the same <10kDa yeast hydrolysate, the fat loss results of the obese women who participated in the study were at best triceps (-2.15 vs. -1.05mm reduction in skinfold thickness in yeast vs. control) and not belly specific (-1.70 vs. -1.08mm reduction in skinfold thickness in yeast vs. control).

Unfortunately, I cannot tell you whether the same can be said of the 2009 paper by Suh et al., because the online archive of the Journal of Food Science and Nutrition, where it was published starts in March 2011. In view of the fact that it was not "ab-specific" in obese women, I really doubt that it will have has particularly pronounced effects on the waistline of female college students - a subject group of whom you would expect that they are at least somewhat closer to the fitness and leanness level of the average SuppVersity reader.

If you are looking for alternative, yet not necessarily more effective purported spot-reduction supp- lements / techniques, you may want to (re?)read the recent SuppVersity article about green tea, green clay & magnesium sulfate soaked "plaster body wraps" | read more
Is yeast hydrolysate an effective tool in your weight loss arsenal? A definitive answer to this question is yet still lacking. Personally, I would spend my money otherwise, because I have never had a problem with cutting back calories, when I decided that this is necessary to lose weight. If, on the other hand, you belong to those people who are constantly hungry, it may be worth trialling a once month supply of yeast hydrolysate caps (or sachets).

The only thing you should be prepared for is that it is not going to work if you dont diet. In all of the human studies Ive seen so far, the weight loss went hand in hand with a reduction in calorie intake; and despite the fact that there is good evidence that the His-Pro (=Cyclo) peptides in yeast hydrolysates have additional value as potent antioxidants (Jung. 2011b), their subsequent effect on glucose metabolism will depend on a baseline increase in inflammation. In other words: The bigger your belly, gluttony and baseline inflammation, the greater the benefits.

Dubai Tour Guide to stay in budget

I have recently been to Dubai with my husband, it was a great experience totally loved it. Dubai is no doubt one of the most luxurious cities of the world. It can cost u much much more then u planned, no matter how much u bring u can spend all.
Here are some highlights from my trip as well as some tips to stay in budget.

1st and most important thing is dont arrange a tour to Dubai for more then a week you will get bore. Dubai is v beautiful and attractive but 90% of the attractions are artificial and its human nature once u see it all u cant enjoy it over and over again. Beside Dubai is a small city u can definitely cover it all in seven days.

    Hotel:
Of course one need a hotel to stay in. There is a huge list of hotels in  Dubai to stay in. I will never recommend a very expensive hotel because if you are there to visit and explore Dubai dont spend much over some place where u will just get a few hour of sleep or rest. We stayed in IBIS hotel Al-Barsha its a well standard above average hotel cost us about 300 AED per night and most importantly its situated on the most beautiful and famous Sheikh Zayed Road...
The main advantage was its almost in the center of Dubai, so access to other important places was very easy. This is not the only hotel, there are many many more on the same road you can visit and chose the one which best suits your budget but just consider one thing that you are not in Dubai just to have a comfy bed and a luxury room. Save your money for much more Dubai has to offer...

Why Some Women Change Sexual Identity in Mid life

A heterosexual woman might make a full transition to a singular lesbian identity . . . In other words, they might actually change their sexual orientation
    Christian Moran, Southern Connecticut University

A comprehensive study of female sexuality presented to the American Psychological Associations annual meeting in 2010 has pointed out on a surprising growth in the numbers of so-called “late-blooming lesbians” - women who have switched their sexuality once theyve passed the age of 30.

Late-blooming lesbians have attracted increasing attention over the last years, partly due to the clutch of glamorous, high-profile women who have come out after heterosexual relationships. Cynthia Nixon, for instance, who plays Miranda in Sex and the City, was in a heterosexual relationship for 15 years, and had two children, before falling for her current partner, Christine Marinoni, in 2004.

The findings raise fascinating questions over the long-held belief that sexual preferences may be partly genetic and are fixed early in life. They also suggest that female sexuality may be more “fluid” than mens, accounting for the fact that some women sustain long and often fulfilling marriages before developing lesbian or bisexual tendencies in early middle age - often leaving behind them a devastated husband and utterly bewildered children.

While the phenomenon of married women falling in love with other women is nothing new, in the past it was generally only bohemian, upper class women who dared to be overt about their lesbian tendencies - women like the married writer Virginia Woolf, who was 40 when she began a long love affair with Vita Sackville-West, who was also middle-aged and married.

But the new research suggests that this could be changing. And while some have previously concealed their sexuality to keep their families together, many women have no prior inclination to change their sexual preference until their mid-life revelations.

    The consequences can be traumatic.

As the new research reveals, mothers understandably agonize about the reaction of their children if their sexuality begins to waver. Christian Moran, who conducted the studies at the Southern Connecticut State University, found that many women initially go through what is effectively psychological trauma as they try to reconcile their loyalties to their families with their attraction to other women.

While for many women “coming out” is a liberating and ultimately fulfilling experience, for others there can be irrevocable damage to their family relationships.

Dr Lisa Diamond, associate professor of psychology and gender studies at the University of Utah, has been following a group of 79 women for 15 years, tracking the shifts in their sexual identity. The women she chose at the start of the study had all experienced some same-sex attraction – although in some cases only fleetingly – and every two years or so she has recorded how they describe themselves: straight, lesbian, bisexual, or another category of their own choosing. In every two-year wave, 20-30% of this sample have actually changed their identity label, and over the course of the study, about 70% have changed how they described themselves at their initial interview. Whats interesting, says Diamond, is that transitions in sexual identity arent "confined to adolescence. People appear equally likely to undergo these sorts of transitions in middle adulthood and late adulthood." And while, in some cases, women arrive at a lesbian identity theyve been repressing, "that doesnt account for all of the variables . . . In my study, what I often found was that women who may have always thought that other women were beautiful and attractive would, at some point later in life, actually fall in love with a woman, and that experience vaulted those attractions from something minor to something hugely significant. It wasnt that theyd been repressing their true selves before; it was that without the context of an actual relationship, the little glimmers of occasional fantasies or feelings just werent that significant."

Diamond has a hunch that the possibility of moving across sexual boundaries increases as people age. "What we know about adult development," she says, "suggests that people become more expansive in a number of ways as they get older . . . I think a lot of women, late in life, when theyre no longer worried about raising the kids, and when theyre looking back on their marriage and how satisfying it is, find an opportunity to take a second look at what they want and feel like." This doesnt mean that women are choosing whether to be gay or straight, she clarifies. "Every one of the women I studied who underwent a transition experienced it as being out of her control. It was not a conscious choice . . . I think the culture tends to lump together change and choice, as if theyre the same phenomenon, but theyre not. Puberty involves a heck of a lot of change, but you dont choose it. There are life-course transitions that are beyond our control."

    Why?

So why are women like these changing their sexual orientation after relatively long and conventional marriages, and sometimes with painful consequences?

There are, according to Dr. Ceri Parsons of Staffordshire University, a multitude of causes, both psychological and social. “Women today are finding it easier to be in same-sex relationships for many reasons: society is taking a more liberal position. Generally people are more aware of lesbianism - so while it appears that there is an upsurge in lesbian relationships when actually it might simply be the case that they are just more visible,” she suggests.

More provocatively, Parsons also agrees with the conclusions of the recent study, that womens sexual identity is capable of change and flux. “Historically psychologists have tried to pigeonhole people as homosexual or heterosexual but these categories are highly inadequate,” she says.

She believes female sexuality can be far more fluid than that. “Ive heard women say: "At this point I was heterosexual and now I identify myself as a lesbian." Sexual preferences arent always set in stone.”

Some psychologists suggest that women are drawn to one another because of an emotional empathy; a shared capacity to talk about their feelings. “Women tend to have more close friendships with other women than men do with other men,” says Professor Marilyn Davidson, a psychologist at Manchester Business School. “They may feel they get more emotional and physical support from a relationship with another woman than they have had from their husbands; or it may be simply that they have chosen to have a relationship with another woman because theyve fallen in love.”

Other researchers propose that women are far more likely to have experienced sexual assault than men are, and often at a young age. And the perpetrators of sexual assault are generally men. That can trigger an subconscious mistrust and discomfort with the very gender that girls are raised to think they should be attracted to, as well as conflicted feelings about the act of sex itself. When sexual difficulties occur, they have an all-too-ready explanation: They think it’s their history, when in fact it may be geography. If the body touching theirs had a different topography, perhaps they would respond differently.

Trying to answer the question of why it comes to women later in life, after long heterosexual experience, both overly positive and not, researchers found that for women, desire does not generally precede but instead follows sexual behavior. Women often don’t feel much desire until sexual activity begins, and many may never feel it in the abstract. Like the old saying that “when you dont know what to write, you should just start writing,” for women it seems to be true that if you aren’t in the mood for sex, the best remedy is to just start having it. Desire tends to proceed from action for women, rather than from mere thought or visual stimuli as it does for men. For both genders, desire and arousal may be so closely linked as to be nearly inseparable, but, unlike men, most women need actual physical stimulation to register either. As other research has shown, even when their genitals say they’re aroused, women often will report feeling no desire at all. That may explain why women cant even imagine wanting sex with a woman until they actually try it, or at least are in the presence of a woman who really turns the key in their lock.

The social stigma attached to lesbianism is also evaporating, claims Davidson. “It is more socially acceptable among middle-class women. Women such as TV presenter Mary Portas, who left her husband to live with a woman, are acting as important role models, so other women are saying: "It’s okay for me to follow my feelings," whereas in the past they may have suppressed or hidden them.”

All of which may remain hard to accept for many heterosexual women - especially among the older generation.

Ultimately, no research in the world can prove conclusively why some women have lesbian encounters in later life while millions of others go through a lifetime without the slightest attraction to another woman.

But for those who do discover latent tendencies in middle age, the turmoil, it can cause to their families, is often every bit as hard for them to confront as their own hidden desires.

    Role of Hormones?

It is well-known fact that menopause is the time when the production of hormones, chiefly estrogen and progesterone, dramatically decreases, bringing an end to the menstrual cycle and fertility. So, can the hormonal misbalance contribute to the transition from heterosexual to homosexual in female? While some researchers corroborate that is theoretically possible, we could not locate any references to the scientific studies, which would be address this theoretical suggestion. However, most serious researchers reject this hypothesis, claiming that sexual orientation cannot be substantially affected by activational effects of hormonal changes in adulthood.

    Testing your Sexual Orientation

Researchers wanting to measure sexual orientation today have four basic choices of measurement tools. These are dichotomous measures, the Kinsey Scale, the Klein Scale, or the Shively and DeCecco Scale. Unfortunately, none of these is completely satisfactory.

    Kinsey Scale

The Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale, sometimes referred to as the “Kinsey Scale,” was developed by Alfred Kinsey and his colleagues Wardell Pomeroy and Clyde Martin in 1948, in order to account for research findings that showed people did not fit into neat and exclusive heterosexual or homosexual categories.

Interviewing people about their sexual histories, the Kinsey team found that, for many people, sexual behavior, thoughts and feelings towards the same or opposite sex was not always consistent across time. Though the majority of men and women reported being exclusively heterosexual, and a percentage reported exclusively homosexual behavior and attractions, many individuals disclosed behaviors or thoughts somewhere in between.

There is no “test” per se for self-identification. The scale is purely a method of self-evaluation based on your individual experience, and the rating you choose may change over time.

The scale ranges from 0, for those who would identify themselves as exclusively heterosexual with no experience with or desire for sexual activity with their same sex, to 6, for those who would identify themselves as exclusively homosexual with no experience with or desire for sexual activity with those of the opposite sex, and 1-5 for those who would identify themselves with varying levels of desire or sexual activity with either sex.

    The Klein Sexual Orientation Grid

The Klein Sexual Orientation Grid (or KSOG) is a system for describing a persons sexual proclivities in a way more detailed and informative than previous methods. It was introduced by Dr. Fritz Klein (1932-2006) in his book The Bisexual Option.

The Klein Sexual Orientation Grid is shown in the table below. For each person, it sets out the seven component variables of sexual orientation, listed as A through G down the left side. The three columns indicate three different points at which sexual orientation is assessed: the persons past, their present, and their ideal. The person then receives a rating from 1 to 7 for each of the 21 resulting combinations, one rating for each empty box in the chart below. The meanings of the ratings are indicated just below the grid itself.

Definitions helpful in using the Klein scale:

Past: Your life up to 12 months ago.
Present: The most recent 12 months
Ideal: What do you think you would eventually like?

    The Variables:

    • Sexual Attraction: To whom are you sexually attracted?
    • Sexual Behavior: With whom have you actually had sex?
    • Sexual Fantasies: Whom are your sexual fantasies about? (They may occur during masturbation, daydreaming, as part of real life, or purely in your imagination.)
    • Emotional Preference: Emotions influence, if not define, the actual physical act of love. Do you love and like only members of the same sex, only members of the other sex, or members of both sexes?
    • Social Preference: Social preference is closely allied with but often different from emotional preference. With members of which sex do you socialize?
    • Lifestyle Preference: What is the sexual identity of the people with whom you socialize?
    • Sexual Identity: How do you think of yourself?
    • Political Identity: Some people describe their relationship to the rest of society differently than their personal sexual identity. For instance, a woman may have a heterosexual sexual identity, but a lesbian political identity. How do you think of yourself politically?

Note that the Klein Grid takes into consideration the fact that many people change their orientation over time. Where a person is today is not necessarily where she or he was in the past -- or, for that matter, where he or she will be or would like to be in the future. The concept of sexual orientation as an ongoing dynamic process is necessary if we are to understand a persons orientation properly in its entirety.

Please note that although it is entirely possible for an individual to utilize the Klein Grid for the purposes of better determining self identification through a process of self assessment, if you are in the process of coming out as bisexual, the best option is to seek the guidance of a professional therapist.

    Opinion

For many, the challenging period in woman’s life, characterized by midlife crisis and menopausal transition, became really unbearable. Here you see sad results – nervous breakdowns, depressions, broken families. Sometimes, it is quite tempting to let it go and change your life upside-down. For some, it is indeed a helpful solution, for other, it is another nightmare. If there is no peace in your mind and body, replacing home, lifestyle, even your sexual identity, might not help.

I also challenge the popular statement - "experiencing a change of sexual orientation." I would rather say that sexual orientation remains more or less fixed in majority of cases. Rather, many women experience sexual fluidity--a deviation away from their own in-born orientation. There is a big difference between "changing sexual orientation" and "experiencing sexual fluidity".

So, in practice, this natural sexual fluidity, which is especially active during the crisis times, should not substantially impact the women, who never had any homosexual predisposition in their life. There is no switch in your brain, which can change you from hetero- to homo- overnight. However, for those, who were always bisexual, that might move the balance to the other side of the fence.  Bisexual women have had a lifetime of sexual attraction to both men and women. Maybe they tried to repress it for years and focus on the male attraction...in which case, thats just repression of the inborn bisexual orientation.

Think twice, before overwhelmed by the sexual fluidity and being frustrated with your lifelong partner, you decide to dispose in a trash can your previous life, your lifetime desires for men, and announce to your friends and family "Hello, Im a lesbian now." May be, that is not what you want? May be, that is not what you need? Do you really think that finding a female partner, which will fit you, is easier than finding a male partner? Well, may be, THIS change will do you good. But, before making final decision, consult your therapist, and try to find, what you really want.
